Meet International Performer & Educator, Giselle Pedraza

Giselle Pedraza is a professional musician with international performing and teaching experience. She has recorded with Grammy winning producer Danny Blume and served as professor of aural skills, teaching classical and popular guitar at the National Center of Artistic Learning in Havana City, Cuba. Giselle currently resides in northeastern Pennsylvania and performs harp, lute, teaches music privatly, and for the Greater Nanticoke Area School District.
At the age of nine Giselle began her musical training at the Alejandro Garcia Caturla Conservatory in Havana, Cuba. Giselle was later accepted into the National School of Arts where she specialized in lute and classical guitar. After being chosen by the school to study harp because of her academic and performing excellence, she completed her bachelor’s degree at the Superior Institute of Art.
Giselle later traveled to the US several times in hopes of sharing her music with a broader audience. During her third trip in 2005, she enrolled at Marywood University, where she received a full academic scholarship and graduated with her Master of Arts degree in music education and harp. Giselle is certified as a music/ Spanish educator (k-12) in the state of Pennsylvania.
Giselle is available to perform harp or lute for Anniversaries, Awards Ceremonies, Birthdays, Christenings, Churches, Community Events, Corporate Functions, Festivals, Fundraisers, Funerals, Private Functions, Restaurants, Reunions, Weddings, and other events in the North Eastern Pennsylvania area. She also performs as a lute accompanist and as a member of the Marywood University orchestra. She teaches private lessons for celtic and pedal harp, classical guitar, lute, piano, voice, general music techniques, and music theory in addition to teaching Spanish and ESL.

Giselle has previously recorded with Grammy winning producer Danny Blume as part of the trio Cuban Tres and served as professor of aural skills, teaching classical and popular guitar at the National Center of Artistic Learning in Havana City, Cuba.

Giselle studied harp under the direction of Paulette Gallow, former student of noted American harpist Susan McDonald who studied with Marie Ludwig, Lily Laskine, and Henriette Renie.
